Confirmation

Confirmation

Confirmation marks the point in the Christian journey at which we affirm for ourselves the faith into which we have been baptised. In Confirmation God assures us of his love and gives to us the gifts of the Holy Spirit to strengthen us to do his will, and we answer Jesus’ call to discipleship and promise to follow him for the rest of your lives.  This affirmation is confirmed through prayer and the laying on of hands by the confirming bishop. For those not already admitted to communion, Confirmation is the step the church asks us to take to become full communicant members.

We offer preparation for Confirmation regularly in our parish and there will be a Confirmation Service in the evening of 22 May 2022 at Holy Trinity. If you'd like to join in or talk to someone regarding Confirmation, please get in touch.
