Holy Trinity Church from the BroadwayAbout us ...

Holy Trinity Church, Wimbledon

... is a building, yes. But most importantly, it is a family-friendly worshipping community of around 200 adults and great company of children and young people. Most of us live in the parish; some have lived locally and continue to be part of the congregation. Others come because they have heard of us.

In our Mission Statement we describe ourselves as:

An open, living, Christian community,
seeking through our worship
to make a difference in Wimbledon and the world.

We seek to celebrate and share the love of God for all;
in prayer, reflection and action;
by listening, learning and growing together;
through serving others and the wider world.

We welcome you to join us: we worship on Sundays at 10am and 7pm and there are services specially for children - see Services for details.

Holy Trinity Church supports Inclusive Church

A Declaration of Belief

We affirm that the Church's mission, in obedience to Holy Scripture, is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in every generation.

We acknowledge that this is Good News for people regardless of their gender, race or sexual orientation.

We believe that, in order to strengthen the Gospel's proclamation of justice to the world, and for the greater glory of God, the Church's own common life must be justly ordered.

To that end, we call on our Church to live out the promise of the Gospel; to celebrate the diverse gifts of all members of the body of Christ; and in the ordering of our common life to open the ministries of deacon, priest and bishop to those so called to serve by God, regardless of their gender, race or sexual orientation.

Adopted by PCC Resolution, 15 October 2003

We are pleased to be a Fairtrade parish

Along with many parishes in the Anglican Diocese of Southwark and beyond it, we have become a Fairtrade Parish by PCC Resolution, 21 September 2006.

We have undertaken to use - wherever possible - fairtrade products for all parish controlled events.

For more information on Fairtrade visit www.fairtrade.org.uk

The fields of the poor may produce abundant food, but injustice sweeps it away.
[Proverbs 13:23]

And for a stark warning to unscrupulous middlemen, see Amos 8:4-7
O God of justice and joy,
may the goods we bring to the marketplace
bring life and health and well-being
to all who trade there.

Teach us to refuse a bargain
that leaves others without the means of life.

May our world trade,
not in human lives,
but so that all may live. Amen
